Jane is nourished by my many house plants, and she recently completed a large body of pastel paintings in response to the Chamisa that grew wild outside of her studio. Jane often laughs about her plans to merge with a chamisa in her next life. She invites you to bring photos or (if they are small) the plants themselves to a gathering where we honor and share our connections to the vegetable kingdom (as in animal, vegetable, mineral.) You will sit together in Jane's studio and chat about our experiences with wild grasses, house plants, bushes, trees, and forests. All are welcome, and you can also share how minimal your plant skills are if you wish! Many of her pastels are in response to landscapes and greenery from Wales, to Maine, to Norway, and back to Santa Fe and our ubiquitous Chamisa. There will be time to look at Jane's work afterward. Refreshments provided. There is no fee for this workshop. RSVP appreciated.
