memberSHIP DRIVE + RENEWAL NOW CLOSED FOR 2023 . . .

OPENS AGAIN JAN 1, 2024 and ends March 15, 2024

The Board of the Santa Fe Studio  Arts Collective (SFSAC), a  New Mexico 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, which  promotes the annual Santa Fe Studio Tour (SFST), is excited to announce that we are expanding our opportunities for artists and art lovers by becoming a membership organization!

We welcome artists from all different backgrounds which provides a richer experience for us all!  Artists must  be residents of Santa Fe County. Our goal is to create a year-round sense of community and expand visibility for our member artists through more promotion, social media, and events beyond the annual Santa Fe Studio Tour.  As we grow, we plan to expand benefits.

COST OF MEMBERSHIP:   ARTIST MEMBERS  $50  +  NON-ARTIST MEMBERS $35

  • This is an Annual Membership
  • Artists and/or Non-artists may renew or join during  the first of the year by MARCH 15.
  • Artist members will get a $25 Santa Fe Studio Tour discount . You will need to join or renew your membership by  MARCH 15th  in order to receive the Tour discount  when  you register for the Tour.

Volunteer help for SFSAC activities and/or for the Santa Fe Studio Tour is encouraged as the need arises. You are not required to be a member to participate in the Studio Tour, but we certainly hope that you join to enjoy all the benefits of being a member of a unique art community here in Santa Fe.

Please note that Membership is on an annual basis and must be renewed by March 15th  every  year to receive  the discount benefit for the Tour. SFSAC membership is a single artist membership not a studio membership. If there is more than one artist in a studio each artist must apply  separately for a membership.

Also, if  you were on a past Studio Tour that does not automatically make you a member. That is a separate application. You do not need to be a member to be part of  the Tour, but in order to receive the benefits/discount you must be a member.

Neither artist members nor non-artist members have voting rights in the operation of the SFSAC.

LIST OF ARTIST BENEFITS

  1. Sense of Community!!
  2. Artist listing on the SFSAC website and being featured in the weekly  SPOTLIGHT.
  3. Discount $25 on the Santa Fe Studio Tour price.
  4. Increased social media and other promotion on a year-round basis beyond the Tour marketing.
  5. Opportunity for shared Tour space.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ARTIST MEMBERS

Follow good business practices regarding:  Art Sales, Gross Receipts Tax and Business License

  • All sales proceeds received by participating artists remain the property of the selling artist
  •  All costs and taxes incurred from the sale of art by the artist are to remain the responsibility of the artist
  •  Required by New Mexico law, each artist must have a CRS (gross receipts tax) number and be responsible for collecting and paying sales tax for their art sales
  • We suggest artists have a business license either from the City of Santa Fe or Santa Fe County.

Artist Member - Proofing:  Artist members may be asked to proof their artist member details on the SFSAC website. All proofs for review will be sent to the email address supplied on your application and any changes must be submitted by the deadlines provided or we publish ‘as is’.

Artist Member - Self-Promotion:

  • Artists agree to self-promote by notifying clients, friends, family, etc. of the SFSAC activities.
  • Artists will be asked to like, share, post, or review/rate SFSAC postings to elevate awareness of  SFSAC across multiple platforms. Doing this will increase the potential for each artist to be noticed on the SFSAC artist member gallery website page  www.sfestudioart.com

Artist Member - Insurance:  The Santa Fe Studio Arts Collective has no responsibility for any action, claim, demand or liability, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, arising from or relating to any artist’s studio.  We recommend you arrange for liability insurance to cover you and your studio if you are expecting to have visitors.
