Artist Statement

Linda Storm Artist Statement I find comfort in a song I once heard a child sing; We never die, we just change form. I think of my immigrant grandparents, their dreams alive in the bones that hold me up. I am a speck in the cosmos, yet immense with life. I am filled with wonder at how we are all made from the same elements as the universe. I breathe in the night sky and feel its eternity, its mysteries. With rainwater, earth and stardust, I paint my sensations into visions of Mythical Realism. My most recent 2024 juried exhibitions were, Harmonize, a group exhibit by the City of Santa Fe, NM. The 61st juried competition at the Masur Museum, in Monroe Louisiana, and at Beyond the Threshold in Step Up Gallery in Los Alamos, NM. I also attended the prestigious Chateau Orquevaux Art Residency in France, and the Mauser Foundation Art residency in Costa Rica in 2025. I am a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and New Mexico Women in the Arts. I continue to exhibit internationally, and have received many awards.
