Painting with Oils has been my favorite medium since the age of ten. My training and educational background in the History of Art, Design of the Environment and Landscape Architecture have provided a rich foundation of design principles which continue to drive the visual design and composition of my nature and landscape paintings. The painting process keeps me focused on the here and now.
With my oils and brush in hand, I delight in the edges, textures, shapes and colors that hold me captive in a moment's time, in a specific place, mood and scene within my surrounding locale and its natural elements. Through painting, I seek to capture that one scene and moment that compels us to pause and take it all in. It is my hope that the finished painted canvas can focus the viewer's attention and move them the same way I was moved in an instance in time by a specific moment in nature and its surrounding scenery.

Santa Fe New Mexico based photographer Brian K. Edwards specializes in fine art, travel, and documentary photography and photographic print making. His realist fine art photography includes landscapes, urban street scenes, and architecture. Much of his work combines landscape with interesting, often haunting, architectural subjects. His specialized photographic printmaking makes his prints truly unique -- incorporating depth and tones not often found in other photographs. These processing techniques include archival pigment and palladium prints, and prints that combine palladium, cyanotype, and watercolor pigments (gum bichromate). He also makes traditional black and white (gelatin silver) and modern archival pigment prints.
Brian's work has been published in many magazines and exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the US. His series The Vanishing Middle Class was selected by Center Santa Fe for Review Santa Fe 2021 and he
recently published an article on New Mexico Works Progress Administration (WPA) sites in El Palacio Magazine. He received his MFA in Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2019.

Film-based, in-camera exposures combined with silver-gelatin prints are the foundation of my work. While this photographic process is rooted in the nineteenth century, it is the contemporary wet¬lands and forests — the watersheds — that serve predominantly as my backdrops. My silver-gelatin prints and collages are sequenced and in¬stalled into contemplative spaces such as exhibition walls, portfolios, and books. For me every step in this process is humbling because I continue to learn new things every time, which is good for my health and the community around me. Currently, she is working on an exhibition of silver gelatin photographs from recorded bird migrations that are detected through radar technology. My newest book is A Country No More: Rediscovering the Landscapes of John James Audubon. OPEN365.

"I love the way beads take one on a historical journey. For centuries man has created beautiful objects with the treasures that were found and traded. I have had the good fortune to have been able to collect many beautiful beads, talismans, and charms throughout the years. "
Kris creates “memory necklaces” where people provide personal keepsakes like wedding rings and other personal objects and memorabilia. Her creations not only involve incorporating these individual elements into her jewelry, but also involves learning about the client and personalizing the piece to suit the wishes and memories of the client.
Having been a studio artist for quite a while, Kris advises artists to persevere, especially with a venue like the Santa Fe Studio Tour. “You just can’t do this once. You have to hang in there and do your part to make it work for you.” She has seen a steady increase in the number of people that come to her studio during the Tour, and this has allowed her to grow her business steadily over the years.
She sells her work under the Dirt Road Jewelry name and sells her work in different markets and online. OPEN365.
